Mountain View Pool
Mountain View Pool offers swim lessons by free of charge through a scholarship available to any children who are working with DCYF. The scholarship is $50 per applicant with a maximum reward of $200 per family, per year. The pool also offers a free day of swimming every month, on the 2nd Sunday. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
The JeffCo Aquatic Coalition’s scholarship now provides each child in foster care with a pool pass for 20 sessions twice a year. Download scholarship form.
Port Townsend Marine Science Center
PT Marine Science Center is offering a free membership and summer camp scholarships to foster families. Jefferson County Parks & Rec
Jefferson County Parks and Rec has made a pledge to support kids in foster care and relative care to keep them active and engaged in sports. The offer both spring and fall soccer for kids Pre K- 6th grade. They also have a free cleat exchange at the Rec Center in Uptown PT. YMCA of Jefferson County
Salish Spirit Equine Assisted Therapy is a non-profit program operating in Jefferson County. Karen Reedy of this organization has offered to our children over 7 years old that are in the dependency system an opportunity to participate. It would most likely involve: introduction to the horse, safety around the horse, general horse knowledge, grooming, tacking up for a ride and possibly riding. (The 8 week program that this organization runs is full for 2018, however, they will offer this one day opportunity.)

Pacific Science Center
Offers a one year membership for foster youth/caregivers. Benefits include: unlimited admission to permanent exhibits, planetarium and matinee laser shows, 15 free documentary IMAX movie passes, free or discounted admission to special exhibitions. Youth 14-18 can obtain their own free membership and caregivers obtain a free family membership for those under 14. Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting. Living Computer Museum
Collection in Seattle presents the meaningful milestones in the evolution of computers and how people use them. The collection was assembled by Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen as a way to preserve the history that put him and Bill Gates on the path to founding the company. They are pleased to offer discounted admission and family memberships to foster families.
The Children’s Museum of Tacoma
Provides free memberships for all foster care families in Pierce County. To sign up a foster family for a free membership visit the Admissions Desk at the Museum and show one of the three valid signed foster/kinship cards; either licensed, unlicensed or kinship navigator card upon admission.

The largest independent, non-profit air and space museum in the world. The first Thursday of each month, the Museum is open from 5:00pm -9:00pm with FREE ADMISSION.
The Washington State History Museum
Offers foster families a very low admission rate of $1 per person or $2 per family. To access this discount show one of the three valid signed foster/kinship cards; either licensed, unlicensed or kinship navigator card and photo ID at the admissions desk during regular museum hours.
