Fostering Together's mission is to find new foster families for children and also to support existing families. They help families with the licensing process and provide ongoing support ensure their success. Linda Cortani, the regional liaison for Jefferson County, holds support meetings, creates training opportunities and generally holds families close. She is a great resource for free and reduced cost activities and resources.

The Foster Parents Association of Washington State
A non-profit corporation chartered in 1973 providing support and services to foster families throughout the State of Washington. Our Association has evolved over the years to develop direct support for adoptive, foster and kinship parents as well as initiating legislative action for the betterment of foster and adoptive families.
Independent Living Services
A program designed to support youth as they transition from foster care to adulthood. Gwen Hulette serves both Jefferson County and Clallam County as the ILS coordinator. Gwen can help navigate various issues that come up for teens including paying for driver's education and getting free supplies for students like laptops.

Foster Supports is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, run by volunteers living in Jefferson County, Washington. We recognize that to be of real service, we have to ask each family caring for a dependent child directly what they need and how best we can help them get it.
Support Group for Foster Families & Relative Caregivers
Support group for caregivers with children in the foster system. Meetings are facilitated by Linda Cortani of Fostering Together. Meetings are typically held on the last Friday of every month at Unity Center of Port Townsend and are training focused. Jefferson County Recruit, Develop, Support Monthly Meetings (RDS Meetings)
Monthly meetings to help recruit new foster parents and support the ones we currently have. Members of DCYF, Foster Supports and all caregivers of children in dependency (licensed and non-licensed)are invited. Meetings last 1.5 hours and can be focused around caregiver concerns.
