Clothing and Footwear

Clothes Closet

We keep a large supply of new and donated clothes for children of all ages – from pants and tops, dresses and undies, coats, t-shirts, shoes and boots – available for our families.

Kicks for Kids

Combining donations and a grant from United Good Neighbors in conjunction with Quimper Mercantile in Port Townsend, we’re able to give each child a voucher for a new pair of shoes or boots of their choice twice a year.

Support Group

Educational Support

Academic Success for Kids (ASK Program)

We created the ASK program to help eliminate gaps in our local foster/relative care kids’ basic educational support needs. It’s based on a simple concept: ask students, parents and teachers what will help each student learn more effectively, and set up a plan that will make that happen.

Support for Preschoolers

We expanded our plan to serve pre-school children aged 5 and under. They receive educational toys and age-appropriate books. And we included a teacher’s tips for parents about making the most of the educational value provided.

Activity Scholarship

A generous donation provides scholarships for our children to sign up for gym and sports activities, music instruments and lessons, dance and after-school activities.

Events

To bring our families together for mutual support we provide events throughout the year. This includes the back to school backpack event, Christmas party, and Twisters gym day.
